CLASS GIFT TO THE PANAMA CANAL MUSEUM

The Class of 1980 was proud to make a donation to the Panama Canal Museum in commemoration of our 25 Year Reunion.  This gift, in the amount of $184.00, was made using proceeds left over after the Class settled all the bills associated with putting together the reunion.  The surplus was due largely to the generosity of committee members who donated their time and money toward the reunion activities as well as several class members who donated extra towards the cause!

We encourage all alumni to support the Panama Canal Museum as well as the Panama Canal Society! The museum is continually growing and is already one of the most important resources of the American Era of the building and operation of the Panama Canal!  If you have historical items from the Canal Zone, the museum is the ideal place to entrust them to posterity!

The Society is an important organization in helping to, as the motto says, "preserve American ideals and Canal Zone friendships."  We urge everyone to keep up their membership in the Society every year, not just once every five years when we celebrate our High School reunions!  If we don't support the Society, it will surely dissolve as the older generations depart this earth for their just rewards!  Stay connected and renew your membership every year!
